HotFon, Playfon’s special project for adults, was officially presented at the fourth annual exhibition Adult Online Europe 2004 in Lisbon. Currently, HOTFON offers totally unique, innovative and addictive content including several thousands of sexy images, exclusive videos, slideshows, games and other top-shelf content from the best Russian and international producers. With 100% guaranteed privacy the project quickly gained popularity among the adult audience. Sealing new contracts and strengthening existing partner relations allows Playfon expanding its collection of fully licensed content. In November 2005 Playfon introduced erotic Voice Services using its own IVR-platform ProfitSwitch in cooperation with one of the largest Russian call-centers.
Adult services have proven to be a constant driver of new technologies adoption over the last decades. Mobile services are now being introduced to the mobile platform via text, voice, images and video. With text-based services already well established in many countries, the strongest growth will come from more sophisticated services offering video clips and streamed video in addition to text and images.
Strategy Analytics has upgraded its revenue outlook for mobile adult services from $1 billion in 2008 to $5 billion by 2010 (from $0.4 Billion globally in 2004).
